Narrative: ALB Elizabeth of Glamis launched following a request to Forth Coastguard from Tayside Police who had found some items of clothing on the sea wall West of the Rail Bridge near to Dundee Airport. Police were concerned that someone had entered the water and requested that we make a quick sweep of area in the last of daylight. After a brief search in area near Dundee Airport and Invergowrie Bay, ALB was stood down due to bad light and returned to station.

Narrative: Both boats launched to a distressed male on the Tay Rail bridge. The male was taken into police custody before arrival stood down at 09:30

Narrative: Broughty Ferry ILB Launched at the request of Forth Coastguard following the reporting of a drifting vessel in the area of Newburgh on the River Tay. The vessel was reported to be unmanned with an outboard engine. The ILB conducted a search upriver of Newburgh and around Mugdrum Island and despite there being good conditions and excellent visibility there was nothing found. Forth Coastguard were happy to stand the ILB down and return to station.

Narrative: ALB Launched at request of Forth Coastguard, to assist a 6mtr Fishing boat in difficulties at Easthaven. ALB joined Arbroath RNLI ALB in escorting a 6mtr Fishing Boat called 'Eilidh Jay' with 2 persons on board, which had been in difficulties due to the sea state which was 3 - 4 meter swell, wind force6 gusting force8, with a wind chill of -6. Vessel was off course and had received assistance by Arbroath ALB in establishing position and was being navigated to calmer waters within the Estuary. Broughty Ferry RNLI ALB, Elizabeth of Glamis, met up with Arbroath ALB, Inchcape, and casualty vessel in Carnoustie Bay, and Broughty Ferry ALB took over the escorting of the fishing boat back to Broughty Ferry, and a safe mooring until the winter weather subsides. The two crew of the Eilidh Jay took great comfort in the presence of the RNLI as they were aware that the conditions had turned bad and the predicament that they were in was unsafe.

Narrative: Both boats launched to search for a kayak thought to be in trouble near the Tay River Rail Bridge. Search stood down as person was found to be safely ashore returned and refueled at 1745

Narrative: Both boats launched to reports of a male fallen from Tay Rail Bridge. Male was retrieved by Tay Rail Bridge safety boat and taken ashore. ILB crew administered first aid until Paramedics arrived . Both boats back on moorings and ready for service at 1145.

Narrative: ILB launched to a dingy unable to get ashore off Douglas Terrace, Broughty Ferry at around 18:15, due to adverse wind and tide a man and boy were unable to row ashore.They were spotted by a Broughty Ferry RNLI ILB crewman on route to the boathouse for weekly exercise. Broughty Ferry ILB launched to recover both and the dingy. All recovered safe and well. ILB ready for service at 18:30
